How To Join Neighbourhood Watch
Stockton District has over 1300 schemes, and over 100 Area Co-ordinators covering more than 27,000 residential properties.
Stockton District Neighbourhood Watch is made up of a Central Committee, comprised of 2 members from each represented area, and a number of Area Committees run by dedicated volunteers, who meet monthly. The scheme is co-ordinated by a Police Neighbourhood Watch Liaison Officer who works from the Crime Reduction Department within Stockton Police Station.
Neighbourhood Watch in Stockton District also encompasses other associated schemes including School Watch, Pub Watch, Rural Watch and Garage Watch (Commercial).
Setting Up Watch
Anyone interested in setting up a Watch in their area can contact the Liaison Officer on 01642 302341, from whom you will receive advice on the benefits of being a member of Neighbourhood Watch, including:
- Home security
- Vehicle security
- Links with local beat officers
- Links to other N.H.W. groups in your area
- Information on local crime details via Ringmaster / e-mail and fax
- Weekly crime statistics for your area
- Registered members also have access to a 24-hour, 7 days-a-week phone number for help and advice on Neighbourhood Watch issues
Purpose
- To combine the collective force of its members to become the eyes and ears of the Community;
- Exchange information with the Police which will support a proactive approach to tackling crime.
How To Register On This Site
If you are already a member of Neighbourhood Watch in Stockton and have signed the Ringmaster Paper work then you do not have to register on this site as your Liaison Officer will have done it for you.
If you have not signed up to Ringmaster then please click on Apply and follow the on screen instructions once you have submitted this then your details will be sent to the Liaison Officer and you may be granted permission to join the site.
